Cleanliness in the kitchen doesn’t just refer to having a germ-free surrounding. It also calls for a mess-free and clutter-free space, right? Let’s face it, your kitchen will still look dirty if it’s unorganized. So if you’re really aiming for a neat looking kitchen, read on as I have some cost effective organizational techniques to tell you.
Use Peg Boards
Like I always say, peg boards are very useful in the kitchen. In the image above, you can see that peg boards are great for organizing pots, pans, cooking utensils and other kitchen accessories. And not only that, you can also hang baskets on peg boards so that you can also use it as storage system for fruits, vegetables and other stuff. It’s really a multi purpose tool that can help you keep your kitchen neat and clean all the time. Just remember to put everything back, ok?
Use Cork Boards
Ok, not all of us use our cell phones for grocery lists, things to do lists and recipes. Well, I am one of those people who are totally dependent on their cell phones for everything – but I have friends and relatives who are still into using paper, which is just fine.
Pieces of paper on countertops can also make the kitchen look messy, right? In fact, it is also unappealing to post or stick pieces of paper on the refrigerator. I know this has become a habit for most of us, but it’s a habit that needs to be broken for the sake of cleanliness and organization.
I recommend using a cork board for notes and pieces of paper. Furthermore, I recommend that the cork board is hidden from sight. Look at the image above. The cork board is installed inside the cabinet door so that it is hidden from view. You can therefore stick as many notes as you want on the board without having to worry about making your kitchen look messy.
