New York City, the Big Apple, whatever you want to call it, there’s no doubt that New York is far and away one of the world’s greatest cities. Tourists from around the globe continuously flock to the city to take in all of its amazing sights and sounds, and with so much on offer, it’s really no wonder. After all, it truly is the city that never sleeps, as there are endless things to do in New York City for around the clock excitement and adventure for all ages.
Although it would be nearly impossible to list all of the amazing things to do in New York City, there are definitely some highlights that no trip to the Big Apple can really be complete without seeing. So without further ado, here are some of our favorites.
Strolling Through Central Park
Probably the most famous park in the world, every visitor to New York really must experience the unique sights and sounds of this gigantic space. For a truly one-of-a-king experience, why not take a horse drawn carriage ride through the park, offering up a chance for a bit of romance no matter what the season.
Exploring Times Square
Yes, we know, it’s a huge tourist clich nowadays, but still, there’s nothing quite like experiencing the excitement of Times Square first hand before moving on to take in some of the more cultural attractions on offer nearby.
A View From the Top
For those who want to feel like they’re on the top of the world, you definitely can’t miss the chance to head up to the observation deck at the top of the Empire State Building, where you’ll be treated to the most spectacular views of the city stretching out far below.
A Visit to Ellis Island
Like the Empire State Building, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty are some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, and there’s nothing quite like taking a quick boat ride out the island to experience what life was like for immigrants first arriving to America. Of course, the highlight is undoubtedly heading up into Lady Liberty herself to catch an amazing view of the city in the distance.

Along with all of its famous landmarks, nothing quite says New York City like an evening spent dining in one of the city’s numerous world class restaurants and taking in a Broadway show. As well, the city is home to some of the world’s best shopping, museums, galleries and almost anything else you could want.
